About

We at Open Loop Press are a community of writers and readers who believe that literature is composed in conversation with art of the past, art of the present, and art of the future—that the process of creation is a kind of "open loop." With this in mind, Open Loop Press seeks to explore rising writers’ creative process. We delve into their work, identify their inspirations, document their thoughts about art and politics, history and culture, and use new media to disseminate our discoveries.

In the pages of our Web magazine we offer one-on-one interviews delivered as on-demand podcasts, interactive transcripts, posts, links and more. Used in the service of living literature, with literature as the hinge to unite many forms of art, we hope these tools will empower readers to make discoveries in the literary, the cinematic, the visual and musical arts—and beyond.

It is in this spirit that we invite you to become part of our community. Spend time with our writers, post discussion topics, ask questions, submit reviews. We are counting on you to make each issue the beginning of a dialog, not the final word. Please, join the conversation.
