In addition to publishing excellent poetry and literary fiction, Steerforth Press is the steward of the For Beginners © series of comic books, which uses the comic form to introduce readers to topics as diverse as Malcolm X, global warming and the Olympics.

In 2006 the Press partnered with Playboy Enterprises, Inc. to form Playboy Press, whose titles feature articles culled from fifty years of Playboy Magazine.
